“Star Hour” with “Radio Chanson”, which was held in the press-centre of the 17th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”, has turned to be the last point, or so to say an exclamation mark, of journalists’ work. The Festival has finished! Or has it? Is it time to pack the luggage after the Official Closing of the International press-centre on July, 18? Of course, not. Just because of the fact that there are 4 events to be held on the Festival stages, the gala-concert devoted to the Festive Closing of the 17th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” being the most important one. So, the journalists shouldn’t hurry to pack their cameras and laptops. Nevertheless, some results of the Festival were announced at ceremony of the Closing of the International press-centre. Speaker of the Ceremony Vladimir Rylatko, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus pointed out the following: - To tell the truth, I’m sad. It’s too difficult for me to say good bye to one more festival. At present, we have already received a lot of positive assessments and appraisals of the Festival. It has become noted for new names, perfect stage design of the concerts, and, traditionally, for perfect and thorough organization of all the events provided by the Board of the Festival Directors. The city authorities have contributed to it much as well. New grounds for the “City of Masters”, a new cathedral near the town hall, a new Art Museum, etc are among these contributions. We are thankful to all the journalists, who were covering the Festival events fairly and objectively. We are especially grateful to the intellectuals of the Republic. And we hope to see you all at the next, 18th, Festival in order to say: this one appeared to be much better than the previous one! Alexander Slobodchuk, Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus admitted that the number of journalists had even increased by the end of the Festival. Journalists from Uzbekistan have come to see the Festive Closing of the 17th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Actually, over 500 journalists have been accredited for the Festival, over 80 events have been held during the Festival, 150 000 visitors and a lot more TV viewers have watched the Festival. It is very pleasant to admit that we’ve got no bad remarks on work of the press-centre. Finally, the word was given to Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus Rodion Bass, Director of the Board of Directors of the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. He thanked all the journalists for their work at the 17th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” and hoped that the standard level of the Festival would rise continuously. The first assembly with Alexander Kosinets, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, will be held in Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee on July,19. The first results of the work of the 17th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” will be announced there and all the journalists, which accredited for the Festival, are welcome to take part in the assembly. |
