On their National Days Russia surprised the audience with the ballet, Ukraine – with folk dances, and Belarus presents folk and variety show at the International Festival of Arts. This was announced by Vladimir Rylatko, a deputy minister of culture of the Republic of Belarus at the press-conference. The present Festival is notable for the diversity of styles, thus Belarus contributes to it with its unique features. It is also true about both the cinema program that presents a young national cinema and the concert of the Belarusian State Dance Company “Khoroshki”. The program “Hymn to Native Land” which is to be presented today at the Summer Amphitheatre, is the artistic flight of People’s Artist Valentina Gaeva, a director of the company. All the participants of the press-conference, including Honoured and People’s Artists, were speaking about preserving Belarusian traditions in their artistic work. Thus, Irina Dorofeeva said that she had issued an album which is called “I live in intimate land”. A new album which will contain about 20 compositions of Belarusian composers is to be issued this year. Different generations of variety performers appear in the concert of Masters of Arts of Belarus, which is called “Hello, Vitebsk”. Recently, about 30 per cent of all guest performances belong to the Belarusian performers. And the audience is glad to visit their concerts. This year the concert has been sold out. One of the questions at the press-conference was about the absence of solo-concerts of Belarusian performers at the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. According to Vladimir Rylatko, this shortcoming will be eliminated next year. The band “Syabry” is likely to present its solo program at the next festival.
